About This Game Solstice is a very retro wargame, heavily inspired by the classic games Lords of Midnight, Doomdarks Revenge and Sorderon's Shadow. Solstice is not a remake of any of these games but takes its lead from these games to develop a new gaming challenge for lovers of turn-based, menu driven strategy. Displayed using hand-drawn artwork, and using a pseudo-3D technique, often referred to as landscaping, which echoes the games of the time.Set in the mythical land of Dourfrost, a land, trapped in an eternal winter, a land of fantastic beasts, magic and war, Explore and battle across an open world, populated with 11 different mythical races (at launch), and well over a hundred and twenty characters, each with his or her likes, dislikes, needs, aims, desires and loyalties that shape the game and conflicts to come.On release, Solstice will feature one very challenging, turn-based scenario, offering many hours of game-play.The Rise of the Demon King. While the lords and ladies of Dourfrost have squabbled over petty disputes and brokered and broken pacts and alliances, a dark power has been rising in the south. A power that will shake the entire land and threatens to overwhelm all that stands before it, and enslave everyone in its path.Sator Grimward, a dark sorcerer, once thought long defeated, has risen again and united the tribes of the Ice Guard. Can Calith, king of the free folk muster the lords and ladies of Dourfrost, and overcome old bitterness, to bring a force of Freefolk, Dwarfs, Fey, Sidhe, Giants, and 6 other races together to defeat the rising storm.JimJams games are a small, indie development team with a love for the retro games of the '80s and '90s. We only develop games that embrace that era, aiming to provide true classicly styled gaming, with a massive retro feel, maybe with a slight hint of what these games would have been with a little more processing power. We don't aim to develop AAA games, but simply to bring our passion for a time gone by to those who love truly classic themed and inspired games. If this is a genre and era that you love, then our games are for you. 7aa9394dea Title: SolsticeGenre: Adventure, Indie, Strategy, Early AccessDeveloper:JimJams GamesPublisher:JimJams GamesRelease Date: May 2019 Solstice Addons 2006 pontiac solstice coil pack. solstice user guide. red solstice pc. winter solstice images free download. solstice recovery. solstice tea traders. solstice hindi meaning. solstice for pc. solstice definition english. solstice lamentations download. solstice download wework. solstice 6 person raft. the red solstice free steam key. solstice full life. solstice business centre. solstice client mac web. solstice used in a sentence. solstice in times square 2019. solstice full moon 2018 uk. celebrity solstice exercise classes. full solstice armor. solstice family care. solstice hindi. solstice full moon 2019. solstice or sky. solstice park. solstice white horse hill torrent. nike solstice pack. solstice tahiti paddle board. solstice in a sentence. solstice sunglasses key holder. solstice graphics free. summer solstice in hindi. patch notes solstice. solstice party. solstice mac system requirements. the red solstice free key. solstice glassdoor. pontiac solstice key stuck in ignition. solstice science definition. summer solstice in hindi. solstice app for pc. 90 solstice way erie co. mersive solstice dashboard download. solstice translate english to hindi. solstice turbo kit. solstice pontiac. pontiac solstice key fob battery replacement. solstice senior living. solstice helmet. solstice party. mcdonald solstice. solstice homes. solstice festival 2019. solstice kinetic clock. solstice eng nl. solstice key fob. solstice version. macpac solstice. solstice hours. solstice wood fire cafe. winter solstice free stock photos. solstice 800 dental plan reviews. solstice 5th ave. solstice meaning on hindi. solstice version. solstice canyon hike. solstice rv. solstice pod ios. pontiac solstice key fob not working. solstice 5k toronto. winter solstice full moon ceremony. solstice quest for the staff of demnos. solstice app. winter solstice images free download. solstice rar. summer solstice full movie. oneshot solstice password I loved this game, loved the choices, the beautiful artwork and the amazing sound track and sound effects. The story was cool and got amazing towards the end. I am a fan of visual novels, expecially ones with animated characters. I probably completed it a few times just to see the multiple endings. Still need a few more endings so i can get the final achievement. So far love it. I would reconmmend to all my friends too :). By the people behind the pretty great Cinders comes a new Visual Novel with beautiful graphics. You play 2 newly arrived people in a mysterious city that becomes isolated 3 months per year because of the harsh winter.I won't say more not to spoil anything for you except that it is refreshing to see beautiful and smart western novels that do not try to copy Asian VN (especially the graphics).Worth replaying as you won't discover every secret of the city in a single playthrough.. Beautiful art and soundtrack. A story with a host of interesting characters and lush environments to keep you occupied. Really gives you the impression of choice, though towards the end your options did feel more limited. Still a fantastic game with an immersive world and a lot of potential for replay.. Shoehorned sexytime infront of a madman's ghost: Solstice is a strange little title. It boasts a pretty narrative set in an established world, well-sculpted dialogue and fitting music. Some of the character interactions are a bit strange (they animated a couple of kiss scenes, for instance, which feel like they're thrust together with the same casual comfort as the others gesticulate), and I feel that some of the scenes could be more to the point. Has most of the technical systems I'd expect in a modern VN, although it's a bit limited on save spaces and I think the skip feature a bit too minimal - if you're looking for completion% you'll be a bit let down. The autoplay is nice and most of the time you can view previous dialogue (although there are some unwarranted cut-offs around dramatic action). The subtle "variants" on the endings as a mark of accomplishment aren't really my thing; a good ending disrupted by an extremely early dialogue choice seems unkind to the player. Further, a lot of the recycled dialogue in these slight variations is considered "new" to the player, and hence unskippable, making the gameplay akin to Clicker Heroes. There's something silly about imposing an emotional compass as visual novel choices: direct, consequence-orientated actions described as such always seems the most appropriate to me. I think Solstice's conversational prompts are a tad too cryptic in the context of 'absolute' completion. For a single playthrough however, they offer enough for you to feel mildly involved in the storyline. I'm having enough fun that I'd consider recommending it as a good example of the Western VN - and depending on what themes you're after, this might do a uniquely good job - but if I had to choose something to represent that geographical subgenre it'd sooner be VA-11 Hall-A or KS.. Great music, mostly great characters and a great story. The romance options kind of suck with the available partners being pretty meh.Solving the mystery isn't a lot of fun, if I'm honest. Cinders was better in this regard by providing information that allowed the player to make rational deductions and choices. Here, while everything that happens certainly makes sense in retrospect, it mostly feels like an oldschool CYOA, where the results of your choices seem largely random. I tend to rate choice systems in VNs by how much I feel like I need to save-♥♥♥♥♥ at every decision point. In that regard, I'd say that Solstice is definitely better than average, but well, as I said, it's no Cinders.Still, overall, the story is enthralliing, and I had a good time with it. Definitely worth picking up while it's on sale.. I rarely play Visual Novels. I've dumped most of them half way trough. And the fact that I played this trough AND pursued additional endings... I'd say thats a pretty darn good visual novel in my books. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Good stuff, would recommendAlso,, just a hint... If you're into writing that doesnt neccessarily result in a happy endings but still feel satisfying, this is for you.. Plug in your headphones, turn on the full-screen and let the world of Solstice sweep you away! The characters are compelling and vibrant, the music that accompanies them evocative, and the art and backgrounds a pleasure to view. Add to that a driving story with excellent pacing and you have Solstice--a truly wonderful way to spend an evening (or several, if you go after alternate routes). I especially liked that so many characters brought something new and interesting to the game; there were few bit players and it's truly a visual novel that respects your time and rewards your investment. I also enjoyed the story device of switching between main characters and their points of view, a nifty trick that keeps you from learning too much, too fast. Finally, the romance options were satisfying. They were optional and I managed to find one M/M and one F/M in my first playthrough. Anyway, though I prefer them to be a bit deeper I was pleased with the role of romance in the story. Plus, that guard captain... <3Editing to add that I'm nominating it for a steam award, and that since I wrote this review I've gifted the game to a few friends and shown it to others--and all of them enjoyed it. The music is great, too (cheers to Rob Westwood).. A visual novel with interesting story and complex characters. I got a good 5+ hours play out of it, and saw a couple of the endings. The artwork is beautiful.. Really well written, beautiful (and addicting) game :). Solstice is a well-written fantasy mystery game. The diverse cast of characters is fantastic, and as the story progresses, you uncover how complex each character can be.I think the variants of each ending are what makes this game shine. Though it is tedious to restart the game to get each variant, the epilogues for each character are shaped by the decisions you make and the personalities you give the protagonists. At first my goal was to foil the saboteur and fully save the city, but after uncovering its secrets, I started to change my mind and question what was really the "best" ending. That's some good writing. The romance parts weren't that interesting to me and felt a bit thrown in just for kicks. But romance wasn't an aspect that I really cared for anyways, so it was just a minor grievance. And not to mention the art, music, and game interface! The aesthetics of the game are absolutely stunning, from background and character art to the smooth menus. A nice change from the clunky menus I'm used to in most other visual novels. I was also pleased with the music - each piece blended in well with the scenes, and I didn't find it too repetitive or annoying (as with some other visual novels). In fact, there are some tracks that I especially like.Overall, I highly recommend Solstice if you like a good story with grey endings. It's not a life-changing visual novel, but it's a high-quality piece of art that is worth a pretty penny. Thanks so much for creating a lovely game.
